About meThe Shaker Historical Society is dedicated to maintaining a Museum and Library and to doing all things necessary to preserve and promote an understanding of and appreciation for:
-the history and heritage of the Shaker sect in our nation and, particularly, in the local North Union Shaker Community
-the history and heritage of the early settlers of Warrensville Township
-the history and heritage of Shaker Heights since its inception

About my libraryThe Elizabeth Nord Library

Located on the second floor of the Museum, the Library—named in honor of the Museum’s first curator, Elizabeth Nord—contains an extensive collection of books and archival materials about the Shakers, early Warrensville Township, and the development of Shaker Heights. The Library is open during Museum hours by appointment.
