Hi Simon,

Glad you liked Moonseed. Most of Baxter's work is excellent but I found his quartets (Tapestry of Time and Manifold Destiny) more than a little stodgy. BTW you have a lone entry for Baxter's Raft at:

http://www.librarything.com/work/8932416

The main record for it is at:

http://www.librarything.com/work/48980

You need to delete your entry and add the main one to your collection.

Hi Simon,

I enjoyed your reviews of the two 'new wave' SF crime novels set in Edinburgh. Can I recommend Stephen Baxter's Moonseed as being the only member (so far) of the 'end of the world' genre set in Edinburgh?

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like it since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I'd be glad to e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi, Simon.

I see you have a Hugh Cook novel. Maybe you'd be interested in my fan site: http://www.chroniclesofanageofdarkness.info
