About meI love books and information and also organizing those two things. I studied linguistics for my undergraduate and now I am getting ready to study library and information science for my graduate work (MLIS). Because of the aforementioned loves.

About my libraryI tend to purchase books on a whim. I have a weird memory for phrases and names so once I've seen a book title or author name I just buy it when I see it. So I have a lot of duplicate books, and many of those I haven't even read once. Books in the My Library collection are those which I own and, assuming they're not in the To Read collection, have read.

Books I usually purchase/read: fiction (classic literature, contemporary, mysteries, detective fiction, science fiction, fantasy), linguistics works/language reference, biographies/memoirs, nature writing, food writing/reference, and cookbooks...a lot of cookbooks.
