About meMission Statement
The solution hole is a fossil site, created when nature dissolved the oolitic rock and opened up a cavity in the earth, only to see it filled with whatever dropped in, or whatever was thrown in. It can cover an opening into the past, or sometimes obscure a necessary artifact of the present. Like water percolating to reveal what has been hidden, Solution Hole Press archaeologists will go in to re-member these pieces of the past that deserve to be seen again, and scour the present topography to rectify omissions, reveal what has been invisible, remember the discarded, and bring forward those whose best efforts have been ousted, “disappeared,” purged, or have fallen beneath notice. The last word on these digs will be fearlessness. Most readers may like what we unearth. Everyone will be scanning the dirt next time with greater diligence.
