About meAt dray in the meta fields of the board.

Into total immersion luddism- the kind where you turn out all the lights and tell scary stories by the fire, not the kind where you dress up like the Burger King and go jousting.

I buy books compulsively but I’ve never bought one, not a single volume, that I didn’t think sometime, somewhere I would like to read it. This has led me to buy Invertebrate Embryology and a Jeeves book on the same day. I’ll read them both (if I live to be 1000), but chances are I’ve already done so with the Wodehouse and the text book is in storage. I read somewhat less compulsively.

About my libraryI’m moving a lot now, so most of my books are in storage. Most of everything is in storage. I do have what I call the ‘Traveling Library’ that I’ve been carting around for the past few years; that’s what I've entered.

I use my LT account to track what I've got on the shelves and where the books I've gotten rid of have gone, and why. I've outsourced my wish list to Amazon as the shopping cart.

I donate most of the fiction I read to Operation Paperback. Check it out- the idea of being stuck in east BF or on a ship with nothing to read gives me the willies. They also have special requests that help me thin my shelves when the stacks get too unwieldy.

You might just enjoy these old men .....
Our Lady will be out by the end of the year -- no fixed date yet, but it's coming pretty soon!
Great, glad I could help!
Yes, if I understand you correctly it's pretty easy. You'd use the "power edit" mode. Go into power edit, search out the books that you want to change, select the Collections tab. Click on the collection you want to add them to, make sure "Add to collection" is ticked (it's the default, though) and hit the "go" button. In this case, since they're already in one collection, you can just view that collection, select all the books (not just all on page, obviously) and select "Your Library" as the target.
Let me know how that works out. If you're still having trouble, I probably haven't understood you correctly and will need to get more clarification.
She is precious, isn't she? Hope you didn't get a cuteness overload.
I put some pics of kitty in my gallery. She's SO cute! And soft. And cuddly. And warm. And…
Thanks! M.S. Corley, who's been doing a lot of our covers over the past year or so, has been getting better and better. Neighbours and Children of the Night turned out really well, I thought, and both are great reads.
Ha ha!! Lovely wit Larry AND you flushed out our dear, adored Lola from her hibernation!
Jockstraps for camels!

*purl, purl, stitch!*
Happy Thingaversary, Larry!
Ha, you may be getting a bit over-optimistic there, Captain Mayhem--better bring your knitting! Hell long froze over! :)
Hi Larry,
Mattie is doing fine. She was tested for hyperthyroidism and tested positive, so she will be on meds for rest of her life. Vet said it is his favorite disease to treat (yea for him). Also had her teeth cleaned and 2 extracted. She came home with a bag full of medication and I came home with a lot less money. Thanks for asking. At least I saved enough money for library's semi-annual book sale this week!!!
Yep! It'll be out later this year, along with Our Lady of Pain and Devil Daddy. Children of the Night will be out this week.
Oh! I had to order a copy of that one! I have just enjoyed a similar work ...
The Leisure of an Egyptian Official by Lord Edward Cecil
Yay Larry! 75 book thingie rocks!

46 years and it's ending? Sad.

Let me go find your 75 book thingie and post there too.....

Hi! I've been thinking about you. I just finished reading the Monster Hunter International books and they reminded me of you.

How is your mom doing?
