About meName is Ann Eckert Brown and I live in Warwick, Rhode Island on historic farm over looking the upper Narragansett Bay. I am a restoration artist, teacher of early painting techniques and the author of two books on American painted interiors. The first published in 2003 by University Press of New England, Dartmouth, is titled "American Wall Stenciling 1790-184o". The second published in 2008 is, "American Painted Floors before 1840". Currently I am researching a third tentatively titled "Rhode Island Painted Rooms - Microcosm of American Painted Interiors"
About my libraryRapidly growning collection of books on American decorative arts and architecture with emphasis on American painted interiors of the Colonial and Federal Periods. Also numerous books on painting techniques and materials, antique and contemporary.
