About meI'm a 50 year old RN from the Minneapolis area and I've been a bookworm since I was 4. I'm married for the second time and have 3 kids from my first marriage, ages 24, 21 and 17. Favorite genres are mystery, fantasy, and historical fiction with a special interest in historical mysteries, particularly the middle ages and medieval time periods--anything before about 1800 will catch my attention for sure! Other hobbies include making handmade soaps, playing around in the kitchen and playing World of Warcraft.
About my libraryI live in an apartment, so my library is somewhat smaller than many bibliophiles'. When you move often, you think twice and three times about what's really worth keeping. I also have a slightly different philosophy than some--I believe books are meant to be read, so having books just for the sake of having them doesn't really appeal to me because there aren't many that I will re-read or delve into more than once. Since I discovered Paperbackswap.com, I've been trading off a great majority of the books I read to other folks--my "keeper" shelf is relatively small, and most of the books I have right now are on my "TBR" piles.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.
I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?
Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

In your review of The Tainted Relic you state that Bernard Knight and Susanna Gregory are actually the same person. This is definitely not the case. Susanna Gregory is a personal friend of mine and she does not write under any other name, except for her academic writing which is published under her own name.

And of course, you have to love Tolkien. I see you have him listed among your favorites.

Just going through and seeing how many books I have in common with all the bookworms gals, we have 70 books in common.. Not too many when you think about it, you have almost 1,000 and I have almost 1,500 thats only 70 books out of 2,500 when must have vastly different reading interests.. Isn't that cool, there are just SO many books out there..
Happy New Year!!

PS- If you want my ARC of the Sister Pelagia book, let me know. I'd be happy to send it along to you. At least, at some point in the future. I don't know when I'll be getting to a post office in the next month or so.
