Have just asked to be friended with you on FB. I do have photos posted but not of my trips to Italy. You have reminded me to do that but must identify each image first. I do check all websites (including ebay) for Italian books. I just ordered from an American outleta book associated with the exhibit ("Americans in Florence: Sargent and the American Impressionists") which I saw at Palazzo Strozzi. Bookstore did not have this book "Italian Garden Magic" (not the exhibit catalog). Not sure why. Did you feel any of the movement from the terremoto near Bologna? Hope you and family are safe. Armida
Ciao Stefania - Just returning from an amazing three weeks in bella Italia. Perfect weather. Such a mytery to me why one can't purchase books on embroidery, textiles, costumes, etc., as readily in Italy as in the US. Very disapponting although I did find some books I had been searching for. So I will continue to use the internet in regard to my Italian wishlist. Have already started planning for our trip next March to Sicily for Easter festivities and bread altars for St. Joseph. I do so love Italy. A presto. Armida
Hello Stefania,

So nice to communicate with you. We will only be in Firenze in May, using it as our base and traveling to smaller towns that we do not often visit.....Greve,Volterra, Lucca, Collodi, Panzano, Castellina, Gadda, Gaiole, Montefioralle, Bagno a Ripoli, Montelupo, Forte dei Marmi, Viareggioi, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Polo and maybe a short trip to Perugia to visit with friends. We were in Milan and the lake region last November and will not travel there this May. Would be lovely to meet with you and/or to take classes from you. Now it turns out that the dates for Forum 2013 will interfere with another event so I will not make plans to attend. Thought it was always much later in May. I have never been to Museo Poldi Pezzoli but have several books on the collection. So much to do and see in Italy. A presto. Armida

Buon Giorno, Stefania. Sorry to delay my reply but very busy. Just returned from a week with Vima in Sacramento. We talked about you and looked at your books. Have not yet had a chance to tell Jeanine about our 'meeting' on LT but will do so soon. We will be in Italy in May, primarily in Florence. Hope we have a chance to meet one of these days. I will look for you at the next Forum. A presto. Armida
Stefania - I looked at your website and now I know who you are! Your book is beautiful! Jeanine in Canada is a good friend of mine and we traveled to Parma together for Forum 2009. I love her blog. Such a small world. Armida
Ciao Stefania - I live in Boise, Idaho (USA) and love my travels in Italy each year. My grandparents were from Italy. I do own many books but you should know that many of them are listed on my "wishlist". My spoken Italian is half Italian and half Spanish but I can read both very well. I love Italian needlework: Casalguidi, Assisi, Punto Antico, Reticello, etc. Let me know if you have questions about any of my books or if I might help you find the ones you need. A presto. Armida
Piacere Stefania - Io amo l'Italia e visitare ogni anno. Di solito per cercare libri italiani sul ricamo, della famiglia dei Medici e del Rinascimento in modo che possa praticare la lettura in lingua italiana. Parli inglese?
