About meAbout Step by Step and WV Dreamers
Step by Step is dedicated to people working together to achieve their dreams in kindred communities in Southern West Virginia through dialogue, and providing service in the areas of education and the arts, wellness, local leadership and resources service.
We envision sustainable, healthy, growing and dynamic communities in Southern West Virginia in which people thrive and support each other to dream, learn, work, and play.
The mission of Step by Step is to empower families and children to embrace self advocacy and become leaders in their communities. Step by Step has collaborated with West Virginia schools, agencies, colleges, and community education programs for nearly two decades. Step by Step is the fiscal sponsor of the Big Ugly Community Center .
West Virginia Dreamers is Step by Step's collaboration unit through which we work with communities to support their children through year round programming at multiple sites from inner city Charleston to Kermit on the Kentucky border.
