About meI'm 27 and I'll read anything. I'm working on that.

About my libraryThese are just the books I've read since late June 2007. I wanted a separate place to keep track of that sort of thing. My full library (along with my husband's) is located under the name sunnyleaandnoah.

I'm really pleased you commented on the title in your Karenina review -- exactly what I thought. When I read it I was far more interested in Kitty and Levin than in Anna and Vronsky.
Thank you for your kind comment on my review of Nefertiti. I really wanted to like it more, and the writing was good. It just didn't grow beyond a depiction of high school set in ancient Egypt.
I finally had to admit that I like the Luxe series. I feel a bit embarrassed to admit it, but it's true! They're far more fun than I expected and much, much more addicting.
I was so happy to see your review of The Underneath. I was beginning to think that I was the only person who thought this book was inappropriate for younger kids. I am still floored that this book was a Newbery Honor book.
Thanks for the comment! I'm flattered. I definitely thought that Mistress of the Monarchy was good in some places, but that there was little material to work with. Still, it was better than some of her other biographies.
I'm 26 and I'll read anything. I'm working on that.

Hee! You and me both.
Good to know you'll be reprieved from the little brats soon. Do children still use libraries?

There seem to be shelves and shelves of these 'painful memoir' books every time I go to a bookshop these days, so no doubt you'll have plenty of choice in that direction; I wouldn't dream of telling yo what to read next!
Thanks! I have such mixed feelings about Meyer's books, and Breaking Dawn in particular (well, except about that name *shudder*). I'm glad I'm not alone in that. :)

And I've been thinking about reading the Edgar Sawtelle book--your review has convinced me to give it a try.
Hello there!

It had struck me as odd that there were several positive reviews of 'Fallen Leaves' on the site, considering I hated it so much; I knew it wasn't just a personal antipathy because I originally read it for the book group I'm a member of, and nobody liked it there either. But it's still nice to know I'm not the only one here who didn't like it. (Most of the books in my library I don't like are for book group, actually; maybe I should leave it!)

I suspect it's part of a trend we've just started getting in the UK of what's been called 'misery lit'; hundreds of books coming out by ordinary people telling terrible things about their abusive childhoods. They generally do not make for pleasant reading.

I see you're a librarian from your other account (where we share several more books); do you specialise in children's books?
I hope you have fun with it! I find that I read a lot more fiction than non-fiction too, probably because the fiction just seems to go by so much quicker.... I need a bit of incentive to finish the NF books that I've already started!
