About meI am 25 years old and have spent 17 of those years in libraries. (I have volunteered in one since I was 8 and have worked in one or another since I was 16.) I (very) briefly attended law school before promptly deciding that I liked the philosophy of law rather than the actual practice. So, I abandoned my legal studies to pursue something that I already knew I loved (both philosophically and practically). I am now 90% finished with my MLIS and couldn't be happier. (Well, maybe I'll be happier when that number reaches 100%.)
About my libraryI have a pretty eclectic library. I will read almost anything from philosophy to comic books. Though I must admit I am unduly prejudiced against any books with predominantly pink covers.

Thanks so much for your note. Please hang onto the one book until the other one arrives. My TBR pile is now a room :)
Thanks for inquiring, though!

Isn't "aubergine" a beautiful word? It should be everyone's word for the day!

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked The Wasp Factory, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I just finished A Clockwork Orange recently and many of Alex's words and phrases are stuck in my head. For example, at breakfast I'm thinking of "jammywam and eggiweggs" (excuse the spelling) before going out to meet some "droogies" for lunch and everything is "horrorshow". It is amazing how quickly you get used to Burgess' language and your reading just flows normally. I was very impressed by this book. I see you rated it 4 stars, I'd probably give it 4.5.
You've rated Hater 5 stars - is this book from the 1001 list?
