About meAt the moment I study English and German studies at Greifswald University, Germany.
In my freetime (which is, in semester, not that much) I love reading, cooking and baking. My boyfriend and I often take a walk with our dog through the near park or just sit together talking.
I'm no person who meets friends everyday or goes to parties on weekends, I'm a family person.

About my libraryIn my library there are mostly fictional books with a great amount of non-classical literature, but the part with non-fictional and classical literature tends to be bigger soon, which is, in regard of my studies, naturally.

I see that you have finished Name of the Rose. It was one of my favorite books. I have Foucoult's Pendulum in my pile of travel books. My copy is an old trade paperback that is easy to pack around.

I read Name of the Rose many years ago and my copy had long passages in Latin. Most of them were Biblical passages so I just looked them up in my English Bible and figured out what was going on that way. Have you ever read any of the Sherlock Holmes books? If you like the character of William you would probably like Holmes.

There was a movie made out of "The Name of the Rose" starring Sean Conerry. It is good, but not like the book. If you can get it you and your friend could watch it some evening. There is going to be a new movie of the Sherlock Holmes stories as well, but some of the old English movies starring Basil Rathborn are available in DVD. These would be great fun to watch and compare with the character of William.

Also you could look up Umberto Eco on Wikipedia because he is a very interesting man.
