Noticed you liked The God of Small Things, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a grief-stricken family. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:

Everybody makes such a big deal about it...

I didn't get to finish it though because the book was due and I had to return it.

to tell you the truth
i might have liked it better but we had to read it in class

Welcome to Books Compared. While you're on the lookout for more D.H. Lawrence, you should try Sons and Lovers. I think it's his best, though it's not the one he's most famous for. Hope you'll share a comparison review with us soon!
Got Roy Orbison... as a free copy through the post. Now passed on to spread the joy. Or clingfilm...

Shame it's not distributed with some main UK suppliers, then I could sell them!
I don't mind comments at all--in fact, I'm grateful for them! And I'm very glad you're enjoying Felix & Mildmay.

I try to keep my ratings evenly balanced - for 2.5 to be average/what I'd expect and 5 to be outstanding - but I seem to be reading a lot of outstanding books... :(
Thanks for joining the Humor group. Happy cataloging to you.
