About my libraryMy books come from a wide variety of sources, most used, a few new, and many from BookMooch, an online book trading site.

I use description tags to indicate books in my library, books I've borrowed from the library or given away are only tagged with where the book came from, and where it went.

Good News! I have managed to review every book I've read in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012! Next Up 2013!

Also, my resolution is to find new homes for more books than I take in: Current tally, as of March 19:
48 books in, 38 books out.
I give up - too many books in, not enough books out!

Interested in how I rate my books?
5 stars: means absolutely wonderful, perfect, but I won't reread ever again because it was so perfect, I don't need to
4 stars: I enjoyed the book immensely, but it wasn't perfect. I plan on reread if I ever get a chance.
3.5 stars: It was an enjoyable read, but not a story I will be re-reading.
3 stars: Its a "meh" book. I didn't enjoy reading it, but its a solid novel.
2 stars: I did not enjoy the book. Writing was not very good.
1 stars: Absolutely horrible book. I don't think I've ever rated anything 1 star.

Thanks for your interest in my library! I've frittered quite a bit of my life on it, but can't complain, really. I have only my shelf to blame.
Hello! Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent choices you made as my Secret Santa, John Dies at the End has been on my wishlist for a while and the others look great too. I hope you got some good books as well and wish you all the best for the new year!
Yay! Thank you so very much! I've snagged all four.
Thanks so much! :)
Got it for you. The owner has delayed books to send going back to September 2010 and mixed recent feedback so keep all fingers crossed. :)
Hi Oomba. I've been keeping an eye on The Silly Side of Sherlock Holmes for you and there's still no change to the reservation although the owner has logged on recently. I'm getting low on points as I've just mooched a few books for someone in Ireland. I have a few mooches pending that are going nowhere though so I should still be able to grab the Sherlock Holmes for you if you'd like to try the owner again.
I am far far too late in my thanks for your Santathing picks but I've really been enjoying them and wanted to thank you. I kind of dropped off the world for a bit but aim back and really appreciated your thoughtful picks- so thank you, thank you, thank you!
Hopefully better late than never right? Jen
My books are awesome! I totally need a new copy of American Gods, I lent my last to my littler brother, who promptly read it, forgot it wasn't hit, lent it to one of his friends and never saw it again. (This was before I tracked lent books in LT)

Thank you so much.
I just wanted to let you know that I finished both The Player of Games and The Forever War. Thank you SO much. I loved them both!

Alice just came in yesterday and I can't wait to finally read this classic. This SantaThing has turned out wonderfully for me.

Again, thank you for the wonderful book choices. See you around the site :)
I have to date received two of the books you picked out for me, I am VERY excited about them! I have heard wonderful things about Terry Prachett, and the Flora Segunda book looks amazing! I am anxiously waiting for the other two! Thank you so much and a Merry Belated Christmas to you!!
It's reserved for you, thanks again!!
Just double checking, are you interested in the "Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace" book? Thanks :-)
Thank you so much for offering your copy of Franny and Zooey, I'd love it whenever you finish- I'm in no hurry.
I didn't want to threadjack on the group, but I know exactly what you meant about the Mercedes Lackey/Valdemar thing. Recently I put up a few things from my teen years (including some Lackey) and am currently feeling BUCKETS OF GUILT about that AND that I'm planning to put up more. Of course, nobody will get my copies of the LHM trilogy unless they pry them from my cold, dead hands. Some things never go away.
I'll list and reserve HMD and vol.17 for you. You want the ones that are L->R with the solid colored background, right? Where volume 17 is solid pink? Just want to make sure I parsed the links in the right order, my brain's not quite up to snuff at the moment.
I mooched it! Thanks again. BTW, I'm dying to know; where does your user name, The Divine Oomba come from? Kasey
Carie, thank you so much! I would love to mooch "the Diary of a Part-Time Indian". My id on bookmooch is Kaseya or you can link to BM on my profile page. It sounds like a special copy. Thanks again.

and thankyou
Thanks for taking the time to make a Secret Santa suggestion. "Blankets" by Craig Thompson sounds fascinating. I put it on my Amazon wish list.

TheDivineOomba:
I would suggest "Blankets" by Craig Thompson - It a semi-autobigraphical graphic novel about kids growing up in a family that practices Evangelical Christian. I don't know if it falls under Biblical, because its not really about Christinatity, but more of how the protagonist learns about his world and overcoming his prejudices, its a tale about growing up.
