About meHmmm, well the photo is me, but my hair has never really been green - it's a wig but you picked up on that right? The clothes, yes well the jumper belongs to BOH, and the hairy chest is my own, I bought and paid for it at the local joke shop. I do believe this photo represents my personality rather well, and in case you missed it, I will dress up for any good cause. This is me being glam in gloves!
We have five furkids now. We have six feather friends, three ducks and one poor lonely little canary called Jim. We added two lovely bantums to our family and they delight us each day with their antics. MouTse Tom

About my libraryMy library is made up of all the books I wish to own, the ones I'm gifted with, and the one's I love most. Unfortunately, I still don't own them all, life is too short and money shorter still. However, it is a pleasure to find more and more authors each day who’s books become 'must haves' in my pitifully small library. So the challenge continues to grow... and my favourite bookstores certainly helping me with upsizing my library!

Hello Deborah:
Well we are still in winter but the last few days have been pretty good. I walk w/afriend on Mon, Wed,& Fri and when we walked yesterday it was the warmest its been for quite a while. I wore one less layer of clothes & the park was full of people. We take Patty(my friend's) little dog w/us; he is a Yorkshire Terrier named Napoleon because he thinks he's a big, tough dog. He weighs only 10 pounds though. The snow we got a while back was frozen but has melted & made mud & refreezes every nite.
I see that you are a Pratchett reader too! I just finished [Wyrd Sisters] & am now reading [Hogfather]. Tho i've seen the movie 2X have just got to find out what they left out of it. Have you read all of the Harry Potters yet?
What kind of company do you work for? How old is your daughter? My granddaughter is 12 yo. She & her mom(my daughter) & her dad (my SIL) live w/me. She is a reader too! Welll gotta go eat dinner. Bonnie (Vanye) 8^)
Now that is showing some excitement over a book! Hope you enjoy it as much as you think you will! If you wanted to get in on the discussion of Ending an Ending, that thread is still up in the Green Dragon.

Hello Deb: Do you live in a rural area? We live in the country. But town is only a few miles away & getting closer every year (darn it). We have several cats & mine is black, named Shadow & adopted us when we were in temporary housing after the fire while we were waiting for our new house to be ready for us to move into. We have 4 dogs, a couple of rabbits, fish, a turtle, & a chinchilla
My daughter SIL & granddaughter & i live together. I have only been totally retired for nearly a year now & have been getting more reading done especially this winter as it has not been much fun to go outside. I do go out 3X a week to do my walking, however, there were about 3 wks awhile back when it was just too nasty to go out.
All of the books in my library are mine but as i have limited storage @ home some of them are in a storage unit. I have been able to replace quite a few of the books i lost & in truth do not know where i'd put them were i able to find them all!
While i do not live in Australia would you like to be on my friends list anyway? Bonnie (Vanye) 8^)
>In relation to Danny's book - I would have given it ten stars but the little
> button just can't seem to read my mind.

*grin* perhaps you could put in a request to the LT admins to increase the number of stars ;)

>Yes, I loved the book and am very eagerly anticipating the next one.

Soon. Are you subscribed to Danny's mailing list?

>I haven't seen the cover for it though - did you have that honour may I ask?

Yes. It's my cover. Danny's design, though.

>As to the Kitties, if I could write as well as you do, I too would not need a
> camera to show them off.

*blush* Thanks for the compliment. Here's a page with several of my poems, and it does have some photos of my cats on it. I'd forgotten that I'd included them

Hi Deb :)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You didn't say how much you liked Danny's book but since you've given it 5 stars I assume that means you quite enjoyed it. Has he shown you the cover of book 2 yet?

I don't have any pictures of my cats online at the moment, but I have a couple of poems about them which I'll be happy to share with you if you'd like.

I should probably have one of those voice recorders by my bed too. I just wind up getting up and turning the computer back on when inspiration hits.
Deb, I did notice the similarities of our cats.
I did go go and look at flickr, and they are allso cute!

I have the same issues with catching them at a good time, especially Rosie who is one, and still moves like she has a rocket up her bum most of the time.

My dog Duncan thinks Rosie is his cat. I got her from the shelter when she was 8 wks old. She popped out of the box, and he went over and started to lick her.. and it was love !
She loves him back just as much, and she cuddles up with him often. just not for long she is always in a hurry to get to the next place...

I will keep looking for new pics at Flickr!

take care

Deborah!
What beautiful furkids you havem, and how nicely you have introduced them and displayed their photos. They are all clearly lucky to be home with you. A basketball!!!! Thank goodness you came to the rescue.

I was happy to assist, It took me a while to sort it out too, until someone mentioned html.

Take care,
kath
oh! and ps.. photobucket is also free and allows editing. It does not allow the choice of sizes though.
If you resize it to a manageable size LT takes care of the rest... and under the pic you will find the html or the url.. depending on what you need.

:)
Hi Deborah.

Adding pictures to your profile is pretty easy. I use flickr or photobucket to
store my images. If you click on one of the pictures, it will take you there.
One uploaded to flickr if you click on the photo.. it lists along the top options to edit, send to group or put in a setor all sizes . If you choose to edit you can do many of the same things you would do with any photo editor, like crop, rotate or clear red eye etc.

flickr is free up to 200 photos.

choose all sizes. I usually use thumbnail.. click on that. Look below the picture and there you will see some html. copy it, and place it in your profile where you want the picture to appear. I place mine under where I have typed what I want to about my library.

Is that clear, or have I complicated it?
Feel free to ask again~ if youhave any questions, and when you get your pics up let me know so I can come and look!

take care
kath
Thanks! I am indeed his :)
"I'd really like just to know how to mention who my favourite authors are in my profile"

This one is easy and not time consuming. On the Author page there is a list of users who have already made them a favourite. Underneath is a small link add to favourites. Voila.

The same can be done for bookshops/libraries from the LT local tab. If they aren't there you will have to add them yourself. Yet another LT timesink.

I fully appreciate the difficulties of maintainng an online presence. Meatspace should always come first, even if sometimes it feels like one has more in common with online avatars then the real people we converse with!
Just passing by from Green dragon.

We share quite a few books, considering the library sizes. You've not rated Curse of the Mistwraith, does this mean you've not read it yet? If so I'd heartily reccomened it. I've just finished it, and was very impressed.
