A book you might want to read concerning the Holocaust is "There once was a world, a 900 year chronicle of the shtetle of Eishyshok" by Yaffa Eliack. Eishyshok was on the border of Poland & Lithuania. The author now lives in Israel. I thought it was fascinating.
