About me Like most here, I began reading early and never stopped. Literally never stopped; I read while birthing a baby, nursing a baby, cooking, cleaning, conducting science experiments, and even while driving (when young and reckless, apologies). I read in the bath, and under trees, in bed,and through my children's various and sundry lessons. I do put down my books to garden, play the piano, play tennis and do other things with my husband and children. However, my idea of heaven is when one of my children curl into to bed beside me with a book. I was previously a child therapist and now work in two libraries and absolutely love it.

About my library Books cataloged here are those that I have read and that come to mind when I visit this website. There is no rhyme or reason to the reading or the cataloging. I enjoy cozy mysteries as my literary jelly beans...not the gooey supermarket kind, but the gourmet ones. Parenting and science books pop up, some that influenced or helped me in some way. Biographies and memoirs reflect my nosiness. Juvenile and YA books are ones that I find unique, excellent, or in some other way, noteworthy.

Thanks for the interest in my library. I've posted many books mainly because we own LOTS of books and because of an injury, this was just about the most interesting thing I could do for a while. We share many books, I love Amanda Cross and P.D. James. Enjoy seeing your posts in the forums. Have a good day.
So glad you think that I have an interesting librbry. Looking through LT I have found that everyone has a unique and interesting story. Being here is like one big book that one could never ever in thier lifetime read it all.

I can't express how this site has made me feel. I feel a connection to so much of what I see on here, who I meet on here and what I read on here. It's been an adventure and a place I can come to escape.

Thank you for adding me to your interesting library's and for accepting my invitation to be a friend.

thanks for adding me to your interesting libraries, makes me feel loved lol
Hi,

I love your profile pic. Did you take it?

Thanks for finding my library interesting. I was intrigued with a lot of your books. My TBR pile is growing by the click.

Hi,

Thanx for adding me to your interesting library list. That Pick a book you haven't read game is a neat way to explore other's libraries.

I notice you've got some interesting science and other non-fiction books, as well as some mystery authors I'm not familiar with, so you are going to be the first on my Interesting Library list.

Just stopped by and thought I'd say, "Hiya!" Love the cat photo, btw. :)
Patty,

This came from the www.mpmbooks.com website:

News Flash!

We have inside information that MPM is working on a Vicky Bliss mystery. There is no publication date as of yet. Stay tuned for more details.

To the many who have continued to ask about the “next Amelia,” the “next Vicky,” the next project, the next tour - MPM is making no promises. In the near future she will be working out all the finicky publishing details on her revised editions of Red Land, Black Land and Temples, Tombs and Hieroglyphs.

After that she has a two book contract. Stay tuned to the website for future information.

I just started on Georgette Heyer's books, so I am not sure I am the one to ask as far as where to start. I am not really interested in the romances as much as the mysteries. If you would like a complete list of the mysteries, you can go to www.stopyourekillingme.com for the list and the order in which they were published. I just got Penhallow from my local library (it is not in one of Heyer's series). I will let you know how it is once I have finished it.

Thanks for the heads up on the gaming site. I will check it out, although my whole family is fairly steeped in Club Pogo.

Patty,

I saw your note about Elizabeth Peters' going back to Vicki Bliss and laying off the Peabody books for a while. I heard a rumor (sorry, can't remember where) that she is going to write another Bliss book. Thought you might be interested.

Thanks for the heads up on Charles Finch. I found out when I was looking on Amazon that there is a sequel coming out in August. It is titled "The September Society" in case you are interested.
