Just saw your very nice description of my book MISS ALCOTT'S E-MAIL and wanted to say thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words. Writing a book is an amazing experience but by far the best part is talking with readers and hearing what the book means to them.
All the best,
Kit Bakke

I'm getting ready to start Confessions of a Contractor. I wasn't going to read it quite so quickly (I hate it when they wait until a week before the book is released to send out the ARCs), but the author is doing a booksigning locally the end of the month, and I'd like to read the book before I go see him. Maybe give away a signed copy, unless it's one I want to keep. I've got a couple of business trips later this month, which means airports and late-night hotel rooms, so I'll catch up on some reading then.
The commute book this week is "The Great Gatsby." I've found audiobooks are a great way to catch up on classics that I really should have read. They're much easier going than they are on paper, and it's a good way to split up my readng time. A bit flowery so far - I don't think I've read anything else by F Scott Fitzgerald, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
Take care,
Lisa
