About meI'm a 23 year old guy, currently living in Tweed Heads, Australia.

I've been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. My early childhood all but consisted of alternating days of sprawling out on the floor, reading Enid Blyton and climbing trees and running amok in our giant backyard.

When I was around 9 or 10, I read The Hobbit for the first, time which sparked my love for fantasy.

Through my early teens I read as much pulp fantasy as I could get my hands on. Mainly Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms novels. It should be no suprise that I read The Lord of the Rings a couple of times during this time.

Next I came to my Pratchett and Douglas Adams phase. A glorious time and I still read Pratchett books whenever I get the itch.

After that, I regressed back to trash fantasy/sci-fi, mixed with prescribed texts for Highschool English (the usual and utterly cliched, yet enjoyable things like Shakespeare, To Kill a Mockingbird and 1984).

Thankfully as of late I've been trying to broaden my horizons and I've started taking tentative steps towards reading more well regarded "classics."

About my libraryI'm slowly starting to enter my library, which, as you'll notice, consists of lots of Sci-Fi/Fantasy Genre Fiction and also lots of $4.95 classics that I never seem to get enough time to read.

I have a small (yet rapidly growing) collection of books on the topic of Faeries. I'm totally enchanted by anything to do with the fae and especially love their darker, more unearthly side.

Thanks, I'm adding the Witches of Eileanan series to my to-read list :)

For you, I'd recommend Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury if you haven't already read it. It's a classic dystopia, and absolutely brilliant.
Hi Torteth, thanks for adding me. I'm always on the lookout for new fantasy to read, and seeing your library has given me some fresh ideas.

And just like you and most Aussies, The Faraway Tree books were my favourite when I was about 7 :)

cheers
