About me Visitor Map
..................Oh wow. This looks... pink 8)

About my library If s/o is interested at all: I am not going to check if I have listed the correct editions and stuff. I try to find the covers I have, and that's it. For me this is about connecting between readers, not collectors. And what a great way to connect LT is!

AND I gladly announce that I now have a lifetime-account, because I have Friends! ;')

Rating:

0 = not read yet :)
Or too long ago. Or not sure. Or too lazy. Who cares about rating, anyway?

1 = yuck.
2 = bad
2,5 = lacking
3 = ok
3,5 = good
4 = very good
4,5 = great
5 = very special to me

Banks and Kay are entirely new to me because I've not read SF for the last 15+ years. I'm enjoying the Kay I picked up but it's a little wordy in places which slows down the pace of the story. Is Kay exceptionally attuned to women's issues or is GGK a pseudonym?
You must read Paladen. It is wonderful.
Now its my turn to appologize. I should not have lade that on you. I've been trying so hard not to say anything on Shejedan. All of us have life to deal with and while I would dearly love the attention that is not what the site is for. I should go back to Callahans which is a support site moddled after Spider Robinson's famus bar.

Yes you are all real friends. I send vibes right back at you. Let a little light in please, you are not alone. (she says aloud and to herself)
alas my dear, I do know. My swings span years though, 5 to 7 at a time, and have been the wreck of my life. Once again every thing has come to a screeching halt. Thankfully I have virtual friends and the drug Paroxetine. Waiting now to see if the state will come to my aid. If not this one has to start all over again.... At 62.

Upside is the time to sort and enter my books and start reading again (from the public library).
[a Song for Arbonne][[G G Kay]]
[Shadow Heart] [[Laura Kinsale]]
[Engaging the Enemy] [[Elizabeth Moon]
[Post Captain][[Patrick O'Brian]]
oh, also, can you tell me what *this* book is? Hocharabisch Wort für Wort
danke
Vetchi-ji, you haven't come across Paladin yet? is that right? I got a copy in my hot little hands today, so pm me and I'll send it to you.
Vetch dear have you abandoned the pub on Shejedan?
Hi Vetch,

I haven't found a copy of City Of Dreaming Books yet - that's the only reason I don't have it.

The czech one you noted is a Cherryh translation - Tripoint iirc - that Sk8er sent to me after Ms Cherryh was going to donate them out of her holdings. Sk8er sensibly intervened and figured that Shejidan people would give them good homes. It is of course signed and personalised by the Goddess.
Well, no, I have no console only PC. There was a raceing game as part of KotOR. Drove me to dispair.
I reread the first part of Merchanter's Luck so you can visualize me in a jumpsuit/coverall with lots of patches tags and pockets and flaps. Kind of like a race car driver. ;)
Yes, I sudenly have time to work on my collection. I'm enjoying the Mahe's pub on the forum but I don't remember enough of the merchanters universe to effectively role play. Any hints are welcome.
Hello Vetch, please disreguard the aelithtourblanc account. As you see I got back in to the first one.
It looks like you've been very busy adding books!
I'm a big fan of that style of design. I think everything should be more flowing and organic. And unique. I'm not a big fan of mass production.
oh, but squee! is eminently important!

what is life without squee! ?
Thanks for the invite Vetch :D
"Hiya, Spence-ji! I am looking forward for the first book completely in Ragi to add to my library! :D"

Well, Perhaps I can work on that this summer!
Vetch-ji! Thank you so much for the friends invitation... I love to snoop through other people's libraries!

Peace,
Suzdal/CyanDag
squee!
Hiya! ^^ And welcome here~! (Heh, I'm too still getting used to this place. All the time figuring out new stuff... ^^)
and Kokipy is Kokipy. thanks for inviting me to be your friend, Vetch-ji.
Every single person in my Friends list is from Shejidan, with the exception of the SpokaneMountaineers...an account I advised my husband to set up, as he is the librarian for this group.

Have you figured out yet that CyanDag is really Suzdal? Stellarexplorer is Star.
SQUEEEEE! Welcome to LT, Vetch! Our Shejidan "home away from home"!
