You'll be there for the July 1 start? I'm amused at the thought of you trying to stay commitment-free -- it seems there's always someone in urgent need of crew... ;-)

I have been psuedo-friends with the Jones' for a few years and after the WWW this year, Denise told me about her book. I bought it in the two weeks between the Lone Pine race and Bishop ultra. After that race, I stopped by their house in Lone Pine and had her sign my copy.
I have never run the BW but want to within the next couple of years. This year I will probably join Ben and bounce among the competitors taking pictures and "experiencing" the race without a lot of committment or responsibility.
How did you come across it?
