Thanks for the add, and I hope you are able to get hold of The Summer Garden and like it as much as I did! Granted, it's all about their marriage, so I could relate to it alot. Towards the end there is a Vietnam battle scene that I found very gripping and nervewracking - very well done!
Viviane- Thanks for your interest in the G.R. I have not started a thread yet. I felt it's too far off yet but you can follow any updates on my challenge: http://www.librarything.com/topic/72418
You can star it and stop by and say hello! We will start Nov 1st.
Mark
Thank you so much for your response and your input.
I will let Mark know your preferences.
The read will be on the 52 book challenge sometime in November and you will hear more about it as the time draws near.
Thanx again,
hugs,
belva
Hi;
Mark and I have been discussing the possibility of another group read in November and want your input. We have narrowed it down to two books at this point. "The People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks and "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield. So chat it up with friends or us and let us know if you are up for it and what you think. Probably the same plan as with "Pillars of the Earth" which seemed to work out perfectly for almost all of us.
Think it over and give one of us a shout.
hugs and looking forward to hearing from you,
belva
É bom ver que há portugueses com bom gosto por aqui :) Já agora, parabéns pela excelente colecção de livros :D
Glad all is good. By the way, I LOVE your profile pic - I adore Waterhouse! I had this painting as an enormous wall poster at uni - I wonder where that went, now I think about it... We have a new TV drama here about the tempestuous lives of the Pre-Raphaelites, so it's rekindled my interest and I'm thinking of digging out my books and buying a couple more and immersing myself in their art again... xx
Olá Viviane! (é esse seu nome mesmo? rs)
Tudo bem?

Beijos!
Sue- I haven't really worked hard yet, (at the group read, that is). I've been getting help from Belva and others. I'm sure things will begin to pick up, as the date approaches. Looking forward to it!
Mark
Viviane- We would love to have you on the group read! Did you find the group thread in the 50 Book Challenge? I'll send you a link, if you have a problem. Plan on starting the 15th, plenty of time to grab a copy. I see you've read "The Shadow of the Wind". Hope you enjoyed it, I'm over half-way through it and loving it. Take care and thanks for the interest!
