About meI switched to the slow lane about 10 years ago and am now enjoying the time to get caught up in my reading. In the once upon a time, I looked something like Bobby Burns. Certainly not now, but, six generations removed from the old country, I will keep him anyway as a fellow Scot.

Thank you for your note. I retired two yeas ago and have been working, off and on, on my library; hopefully, someday I will get things in order. Yes, our interests are similar--it is a never ending quest to unravel the thread that leads to the beginning and I recognize I will never complete the task, nor will anyone else, for that matter. Go gently and stay warm.

Hi Bill,
I'm a new member and am looking to purchase, trade or both for a true first edition of The Comfortable Pew by Pierre Berton. I started collecting his books about 3 years ago. I'm almost there and in fact a little more than 50% are singed copies.
If you maybe willing to consider parting with your copy you can always contact me at thomasranco@gmail.com.
Thanks,

I have been placed in worse categories!
Thank you for joining Pro and Con (Religion). I hope this is a place where the comfortable are afflicted and the afflicted are comforted. Let’s go it with all seriousness, but I hope we can have great fun at the same time. If I were God, I would part the waters of distance, and instantly transport us all to this great pub I used to frequent in Germany with a group of other Auslanders, but alas, I am but a lowly mortal, and so we have to do this via the internet.

All I ask is that every one remain respectful, even if there are times when you are spewing your coffee over the screen.
Thanks for the note on my library site. Sorry it has taken me such a long time to visit your library, but it's a great one! Regarding PTS, I am almost finished with my certifcation program in spiritual formation there, but look forward to more continuing education events there. It's a great program and a great place and have made many, many new friends (Reformed as well as UM, Lutheran, Cahtolic, etc.) thru this program.
