About meI am a librarian. I live on the prairie and think Willa Cather has the best descriptions of this landscape ever written.

About my libraryThis is an ongoing list of the books I have read starting in 2001. I don't actually own all these books...because I work at the library! I focus on young adult books for my job but also because I love them. I hope to read lots of grown-up books in my retirement.

Now in 2009 I am starting slowly to add books that I remember that I've read in the past as well.

I have only read the Willa Cather book that is based on her childhood. For some reason, like Alice in Wonderland and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, I just can't read her. Is there one you would suggest trying to read? I'd be willing to try again.

I just added a review for When Molly was a Harvey Girl by Frances M. Wood to my reviews. I actually am updating my file at this moment. If you have a book reviewing blog, I do a Family Friendly book linky to share books that we have Read Lately. Feel free to add yours. I'd love to see what you're reading. It can be adult/kid or fiction/nonfiction.

Thanks so much! Tina "The Book Lady"

Hi,

Thanks for entering the giveaway,

I love Willa Cather! I agree that her descriptions of the prairie are gorgeous. Do you live in Nebraska? I love this state. It looks like we have several books in common, and similar taste. :)

I hate it(not having public libraries) but atleast I have my school library.

I read about the Manga Shakespeare book on amazon.
It sounds pretty good.
(we where just reading one of shakespeare's poem's in class the other day)
Right now, I'm reading the Kite runner.
My friend read it a couple of months ago and said it was good so thought i would read it to.
So far, it's good but it's taking me longer to read it then it should because i have so much homework at my new school.
Last year, i had all the time in the world to read.
I wish i could volunteer but i moved out of the states and they dont't really have public libraries where i moved.
:(
lol
i wish i could be a librarian
no better yet
i wish i could live in the library
i love your library!!!
:o)
