About My Library
Mostly science fiction, but a little other stuff that interests me, such as stories set in my native Florida.
About Me
I am, in no particular order, an airline ramp agent, a commercial pilot, a beginning writer, a technophile, a kayak enthusiast, and in no particular order.

I own more books than are listed on my shelf, but most of them are in storage, and I can't remember them all. People ask if I've read all of them, and the answer is yes, except for a bare handful.

The overwhelming majority of my reading experience is in the genre of Science Fiction. It is the only genre that has been able to hold my attention very long. Of course, there are exceptions. John D. MacDonald, Carl Hiassen, and Randy Wayne White come prominently to mind, because they are Florida based writers, they set their stories in Florida, and I am a Florida native. Piers Anthony as well, and as anyone who has read much of his Xanth series will recall, Xanth bears a suspicious resemblance to a certain peninsular state.

The first SF I recall reading was the movie tie-in for /Star Wars/ back about 1979 or so. There was one book before that, and while I recall some of the story, the title escapes me. I now realize it was pretty bad, but I'm sure it's still somewhere deep in the depths of my mother's house, waiting to be rediscovered, like a bit of buried treasure.
