About meI am in my early 50's and work full-time in administration. I love travel and have recently (June 09)come back from a trip to Bhutan, Nepal, Bangkok, Ankor Wat and Bali. I like Opera, classical music and alternative/complementary therapies, meditation and yoga.
I was the sort of kid who sat up in bed with a torch reading long after everyone else had gone to bed. I always have a book in my bag and any delay is an excuse to read. I just love books and I never seem to be able to pass a bookshop by without a browse and an inevitable purchase.
I visit just about every second hand bookshop and book sale in my area on a regular basis, and now, thanks to Library Thing, have a growing list of books to look out for so thanks to all of you for your reviews on the books you have read, you have helped me to expand my list of authors to read.
About my libraryI tend to read mostly fiction but will have a run of non-fiction reading (particularly popular science and alternative health/complementary therapies).
My library is still a work in progress but the bulk of my library is made up of books I have read in the past 10 years or so. I no longer own all of these books as my unit is just not big enough to accommodate them so I also read library books as well.
I also have a large number of TBR books listed and I hope to make a serious dent in those in 2009.
My interests are very wide ranging (and I think my library reflects this) but I am interestsed in Booker/Noble prize winners and popular science. I will endeavour to tag my books as soon as I get a chance and I also hope to find the time to add reviews of the books I read as well.
