Welcome to the 2009 75 Books Reading Challenge group. Thanks for joining in!
Hi---thanks for the compliment about the library---I do spend most of my days in here, and must be surrounded by family as well as books since we left them all behind in Virginia when we moved to Maine. The ballerina is my godchild Leigh Anne-the picture was taken several years ago, but she did serious ballet through her early twenties. Yes that's an electronic piano (I gave the elec keyboard to my son before we moved)-- I kept the Yamaha clavinova--it's one of the very early ones I bought in 1981 when we were living in Japan. We had a piano, but moving it around the world was not good for the piano or our weight allowance.

And as for the cats, welll....hubbie and I have agreed that a trip to the Humane Society will happen sometime this month -- our Christmas present to ourselves. we have so much wildlife here that I haven't missed the cats TOO much. This morning for instance, we looked out to see a deer walk through, then a pileated woodpecker (big guy of the Woody Woodpecker variety) started walking up the tree outside the window, and we have soft beautiful snow 'fluffies' to add to it all. It's like living in a currier and Ives postcard. So glad to connect, let's stay in touch. I'm off to the library to pick up a book I want to check out for the president's series, and a new Anne Perry audio book. Enjoy your day --I don't suppose my traditional closing of "stay warm" applies to you. Perhaps I should say "Keep Cool" or "Let it Snow"
Hi! Yeah, I picked the name because I used to live in England, along an ancient footpath known as the Ridgeway, and then when we move to South Carolina we ended up on another ridgeway.

On a cold day like today I am a little jealous of your location!
