About Me
ZAM is a non-profit venture based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our philosophy: To 'spread the word' of African argument, observation, investigation and imagination to an international audience.

ZAM represents a network of 600+ (investigative) journalists, photographers, artists, commentators and activists in Africa and beyond.

ZAM is rooted in the Dutch solidarity movements with the struggles for independence and democracy in (southern) Africa.

The ZAM-net Foundation was launched in 2007.
ZAM appeals to its audience to support African investigative journalism through its story fund and in close cooperation with its Africa-based publishing collective.
