Have you read David Trobisch's book, The First Edition of the New Testament, and if so, is he arguing for a Canonical approach to the NT canon with respect to an inspired ordering?
Hi! Thanks so much for coming back to me on my request on James. Appreciate your note! It is ok that you could not help because there a lot of nice people here in LT and I have already received something. Thanks again!
Yeah, I guess I have a couple of works on James (it was the subject of one of the exercises for my master's degree). There are still a few interesting questions in the textual criticism of the NT, though I haven't made a point to pick up any of the ECM volumes. I see you and I are the only two people on LibraryThing to have a copy of Zuntz! It's a rather difficult volume to find, as you know; I chalk mine up to dumb luck - I wish I could have that stroke of luck again with Vööbus's Early Versions, as I see you have. But anyway, Zuntz's is an outstanding study, I concur with your 5-star rating. We seem to have quite a lot of other books in common too. (I notice we'll have even more once I get around to entering the rest of mine!) At any rate, best of luck with your thesis!
Yes, I'm writing an M.A. thesis on James. I thought you had a greater number of books on James than most other NT, so I was just curious. Catholic Epistles and textual criticism go well together these days with the ECM volumes, eh?
No, actually I'm not writing on James, though I do have some interest in the Catholic Epistles. How about you?
