Thanks for the comment! Hopefully I'll pick up some good book recommendations from your library! :)
Thanks! I have a copy already, though, just no time to reread it. :)
I'm so glad you liked it! I think it is my favorite of her books. There's a sequel, "Solstice Wood", that is also intriguing, in a more modern tone. I'd really like to read "Winter Rose" again, I think there are layers to it I didn't completely delve into. :)
Hey there. Sorry, it's taken me a while to get back to you; I hadn't checked my profile in a while. I can't find the letter, but in the back of my copy is a page that has this email: RHTrademarketing@randomhouse.com, and this mailing address:
Random House

I hope this helps!

Ok, I looked at the review & have to be up front & say it's not for me. I can't get into historical mysteries. I'm the only one I know who didn't like Eco. Å chaçun son gout, as they say! My, we share a lot of books in our libraries. I'm surprised you don't belong to our "Lost generation" group. Please check it out. Judie
Hi Frederika! What a nice message; thanks so much. I never heard of Neville. I promise to look her up & thanks for the suggestion. Please, don't be shy about commenting on what you're reading-it helps us all. Our differences are what add spice to the mix, don't you agree? Thanks, too, for adding me to your friends; right back at you! Judie
Hi! I just went to post a review of "Emiy Post", but didn't need to-you said it all. It took until chapter 15 for me to be able to uncover just a bit about the subject. I won't finish it; I have too many wonderful reads awaiting my time. Thanks!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the books :)
Howdy! You asked about Winter Rose -- I didn't review it, just rated it. (Actually I finished rating everything in my library first, then I'll start on reviews, I guess.) I liked it. It's different, incorporates magical realism with a fairy tale aspect. The sequel, Solstice Wood, was also very interesting. I like the author quite a bit and have read a number of her books; some of them fell flat for me but I did enjoy those two.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the advice on getting started at paperbackswap! I haven't registered yet, but I'll definitely use your name when I do. :)
Hi! This is Lauren/afinpassing- from BookMooch. What a strange coincidence, I was just adding a Mooch that came in the mail today to my library, This 'n' That by Bette Davis, when I saw you too were listed as recently adding it! Small world, between these wonderful book-sharing communities.
Wonderful! Not a lot of people have heard of the world. It's nice to "meet" you. :) We share a lot of my favorite books.
