About meI've been an avid reader since I taught myself to read at age 5. I ran a book reading group for 15 years - no discussion, just reading the best and most unusual of new books. I have been a teacher in Canada for 34 years and in 2007 took my act on the road and moved to the International school circuit. Currently, I'm teaching high school English at an international school in Albania. Previously I worked in a growing school for ex-pat children in a small city in western Kazakhstan. I love music, books, photography and travel.
About my libraryWhen I moved from Canada to Kazakhstan, I sent my books to new homes. Some went to friends and family, most were donated to our local library. I kept 2 or 3 titles that I couldn't part with. Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo, Who Has Seen the Wind? by W.O. Mitchell, Diving Bell and Butterfly by Baube. As a teacher-librarian, I filled the small library in Kz. with all of my favorites. My favorite genres are historical fiction, mysteries [especially British ones], travel stories. I am also trying to read a lot of the great classic works that I've missed throughout the years.
