Regarding the Conan Doyle that you are asking about,I have checked in my copy and I fear that it doesn't have a ISBN number either.As to checking if Librarything's number is correct, I wouldn't think that this is possible,or if it is I am not aware of it. Sorry that I can't help you with this.
