About meI'm a disorganized reader, really--I could come up with a single-spaced, typed list as long as my body of books I want to read, and pick my next book by whim and sometimes by others' recommendations.

I've written most of my reviews on Blogspot, before I discovered Library Thing.

About my libraryMy library consists of titles that I've particularly liked.

5. The Beet Queen by Louise Erdich
6. Four Spirits, by Sena Jeter Naslund

Thanks for reading my blog! Wasn't The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo great? I like your other blog too about travelling. I dream of taking a cruise in the Carribbean (more family history!!) - the photos were great.
Thanks for your comments! Did you like Gentlemen of the Road? It is on my TBR pile. Should I bump it up or not? I am a Chabon fan.

Ferris
Thank you very much!
Hi,

Saw you liked Bastard Out of Carolina, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your opinions here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like it since it's also southern and a bit dark. I'd be glad to e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I read your review of Gilead, a very good one. I would recommend Home by Robinson to you, because it covers some of the same subject matter as Gilead. It is from the point of view of the sister of Jack and tells about his coming home. You had said you would like to know more about Jack in your review. I found Home to be even more emotional a book than Gilead, which I also liked very much.
The comment you just got about the book you won from LTER was from the 'January Bonus' batch. The name was erroneously set to just 'January'. Sorry for the typo. -Mike
Hi there,

A question...the photo at the top of your Paradise Alley Blog...is it The Shambles in York, England?

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Shelby
Hi there,

Thanks for adding me to your Interesting libraries!
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Hi ActonBell...I've enjoyed browsing your bookshelf, as well as your three blogs, and especially your book reviews. I've noted some of your ratings and will no doubt factor those in as I choose my next novel. Like you, I go for my next read in a rather random fashion. It's a bit like searching for a water well...here? Here? No, HERE! Best wishes for the working week!
