About mehttp://overbooked.com

Librarian - Collection Management Administrator

I am a rabid, ravenous and omnivorous reader - I will go where the author takes me and am easily lost in a book. I am not a good critic or reviewer - I'm disgusting adaptable and pretty pleased with most books I read. I am good at associating books with readers. What little memory power I have is generally required for bookish details.

Great, Wide, Beautiful, Wonderful World

Great, wide, beautiful, wonderful World,
With the wonderful water round you curled,
And the wonderful grass upon your breast--
World, you are beautifully drest.

The wonderful air is over me,
And the wonderful wind is shaking the tree,
It walks on the water, and whirls the mills,
And talks to itself on the tops of the hills.

You friendly Earth! how far do you go,
With the wheat-fields that nod and the rivers that flow,
With cities and gardens, and cliffs, and isles,
And people upon you for thousands of miles?

Ah, you are so great, and I am so small,
I tremble to think of you, World, at all;
And yet, when I said my prayers to-day,
A whisper inside me seemed to say,
"You are more than the Earth, though you are such a dot:
You can love and think, and the Earth cannot!"

Great. Send me your e-mail address (mine is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll send you the e-book version of the book.

Thanks,

Chris
Noticed you liked Die A Little, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also gritty, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit.

Thanks for befriending me. I'm just getting to know the groups. Best Kathy-Diane
Thanks for befriending me, Ann. I think I share your reading and reviewing philosophy. I can suspend disbelief easily and can always find something I like about any book.

Cheers,

Karen
Thanks for the accept, Ann - lovely to meet you here! I see you've got a RN Morris book on your list - a lovely author! Have you read his "Taking Comfort" (under the name Roger Morris)? It's amazing!

Hi Ann,
I noticed you the other day when I was looking for reviews or ratings on an author I had just noticed. When I clicked on your profile I started laughing at the books we have in common, since they're rather odd and unrelated.

Then when I noticed that we're both in Richmond I really thought it was odd. We also both run book groups online. A bit woo woo? Especially Louise Penny, who has joined in my group for a couple of chats.

We might need to get to know each other better or at least keep a DiNiro eye on each other LOL.
