About meAs a lifelong bibliophile, it seems only natural that I end up working as a librarian and it comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I should do so at my alma mater, the University of Virginia. Although books as physical objects are my love, I am earn my keep by digitizing them.
About my libraryBroad ranging interests including, but not limited to, American history (with emphasis on colonial, early federal and the Civil War), European history (focused on the beloved Gallic peoples), Art history, Ancient history, and a wide selection of fiction. Although I am only 26, I have long considered used book shopping my favorite activity and it shows. Space in my apartment has become increasingly limited but that has not deterred me from broadening my collection. The next phase of collecting, I think, will be to replace my older and sun damaged paperbacks with acid-free, good condition hardcover volumes.
