Thanks for these comments - nice to know someone has read a review of mine.
A word regards Dawkins - I don't rate The God Delusion as one of his better efforts in terms of the "readability" or "literary attainment" so please take it from me that something like Blind Watchmaker or Selfish Gene or Extended Phenotype would just blow you away on all fronts.
