Welcome to the Political Conservatives group. Thanks for joining!

We also share some of my favorite books -- including several Roth novels and (what are the odds?) Bitch in the House, which has been sitting on my TBR shelf now for several years but never seems to move to the front of the line.
Thanks for your reply re- the fat lady.
Oh, and you might want to check out RateYourMusic.com. It has similiar functionality to LibraryThing but it's for CDs and albums.
I'm actually at McCann in SF, working on Microsoft. Cranin would come and give little pep talks on occaision. A difficult task for one so petite. An odd person.
Ken -- I checked out your site and saw you worked at McCann NY. Did you work with Johnathan Cranin?
Anna Ka-watcha-wa? Are you working on a merit badge?

I've been reading a lot of David Mamet. Bambi vs. Godzilla is really great. Every creative person should read it. Yes, it's one of those books.
Ruby is a good name. Although my wife's grandmother thought it sounded "poor and Southern".
You an ad guy?

Yeah, me too.
Hey Ken, Thanks for writing. I also don't have the dust jacket. I got that book when I was in college. I liked Barefoot Boy with Cheek but not the others. I even imitated Shulman's writing style when I was in college! He later became a TV script writer, prolific but not so distinguished as I recall.

Keep in touch.

Jay
I love books. All kinds. My apartment is stuffed with them. I try to purge. More grow back. I write. I draw. I wish they had something like this for albums. That's it.

It is a drug.
