GroupsWhat Are You Reading Now?

About me not much to say really. Im a freshman in college. I like to read alot and I am also very knowlegeable about film.

Traditionaly the way i read books is: if i hear a book mentioned and talked about alot or refered to, i will usually look into it and read it and then follow an authors work from there.

About my library My favorite authors are (too many to mention but here are the ones I like the most: Jorge Luis Borges (a given from the picture), Phillip Roth, Cormac Mccarthy, Jim Thompson, Raymond Chandler, John Fowles, James Ellroy, Kafka, J.G. Ballard, Kurt Vonnegut,Phillip K. Dick, Richard Russo, Schleshinger, Josepth Heller, W. Summerset Maughm, and too many more to mention.

I am a big fan however of the classic crime novel which usually has stripped away, economic writing of writers like Horace Mccoy, Dashiell Hammet, and Jim Thompson.

and im also a big fan of the southern style of Faulkner and some of Cormac Mccarthy's earlier books like Suttree.

But overall I would like to think I like alot of diffrent books.

We noticed that you were a Jorge Luis Borges fan, and we wanted to let you know that we’ve just published a brand new translation of his story, “Gradus Ad Parnassum,” in our anthology, ‘flatmanCROOKED – First Winter.’ “Gradus Ad Parnassum” is not currently in print in English, so we’re rather excited to publish what is to many Borges fans brand new work. The book also includes debut fiction from National Book Award winner Ha Jin, as well as stories from myriad other established and emerging authors. Check the book out at www.flatmancrooked.com/fmcmarket.html. If you get it through our website, it’s significantly cheaper than through Amazon or Barnes & Noble!
