About meI'm eighteen years old, I'm a Pentecostal Christian and I have a passion for theology, Christian apologetics and Christian books in general. I also love computers, hence the obscure computing books in my catalog.

About my libraryI primarily read non-fiction books on Christian subjects, such as Christian Living and some theology. I rarely read fiction, although I quite enjoy sci-fi.

David:
Sorry! Haven't been on LT for a while.
Glad to here your news, and hope that you find a Church (nearby) which faithfully preaches God's Word, administers the sacraments, and exercises discipline.
I rarely go to PB as you have to sign in, there is so many members, and the posts are generated every second - ie: its hard to keep up. :)
I am on several yahoo lists on which I participate more frequently, like bbwarfield, rtdisc, Christian_Worldview, presbyterian-opc, co-urc, ref-net, etc.
I have a few contacts in Australia too, like Francis Nigel Lee, David McKay, Matthew Winzer, etc. They are on several of the above-mentioned lists. they may be of assistance.

Yours, in Christ Jesus,

(What's your PB handle?)
Hi David,

It's good that you applied. Once you are accepted do not forget to Introduce yourself so I can see you. I do not always go to the PB on a daily basis.

God Bless.
David,

The PB is a place where the people there take God's word seriously. Thats why the strict rules, their desire is to communicate with like minded people not argue over scriptures or Calvinsim.

My church is not reformed nor do they use any of the confessions.

Best advice is take it slow let the Scriptures guide you. Remembering to keep the scriptures in context.

Do you ever watch James White from Alpha and Omega Ministries on you tube. He is very good at communicating the truth thats taught in Scripture.

god bless.
Hello David,

Thanks for the google wave link followed it and put in my request.

Yes I am a member of the Puritan Board. It is by far one of the best boards on Reformed Theology and the Puritains.

If you want to join read the rules for membership. This board requires Church membership along with holding to Confessional Standards. I think most of the members hold to the Westminister Confession of Faith. I hold to the London Baptist Confession of Faith. The reason we hold to these great Confessions, remember that when these were written there were not many Bibles and these great Confessions throughly saturate you in the word of God. We use these Confessions along side of our Bible to learn. I know many people who refuse to hold to the Confessions or creeds, there only creed is the Bible (I was once like that). Why try and reinvent the wheel. manly godly men have walked the Christian Life before us so why not incorporate their knowledge in our christian walk.
These confessions unite us just as Doctrine unites people.

God Bless.
Thank you i might sign up for it also.
Hello David,

I know you are more in to computers and tec. than I am was wondering if you have heard of google wave? From what I know it was developed in Australia. If you have heard about it what do you think about it?

God bless.
Hello David,

PRTS is offering a free course on Theology Proper #412 if interested. Should be able to find at this link http://www.puritanseminary/2009/09/free-.... Hope link works if your interested.

God Bless.
Hi Dave,

No I do not have that book to many books and to little money or space for them.

Have a couple of others to suggest I do not have thes either.

1) Marrow of Modern divinity by Edward Fisher.
2) Living for God's Glory by Joel Beeke.

Also I would suggest you read the great confessions of faith like I mentioned earlier. I espically like The Heidelberg Confession by Zacharias Ursinus. Combined with the other two I mentioned.

God bless in your studies.
Dave,

I put brackets around some of the books thinking that it would direct you to the book but not so.
Hi Dave,

Reformed books that's hard. Their are Baptist who call themselves reformed but I would classify Presbyterian as truly Reformed. If you want Convenant Theology try [[Marrow of Modern Divinity by Edward Fisher]] Have you read [[Calvin Institutes of the Christian Religion]]? How about reading the Westminister Confession of Faith, or the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith by Sam Waldron. A good author from the Reformed Faith is Michael Horton anything by him. There is just so much. Sorry I can not give you one specific book. I will try and find one for you though.

God Bless.
Hello Dave,

It truly is a great work easy to read and understand. I also like his Scripture Memory Passage and the Hymn he puts at the end of chapters.

Your welcome I try and pass on good information to others so they need not spend great sums of money on finding good books. I had to go through more bad books to find the good one's.

God Bless.
Hello David,

How are you doing havent been in contact with you for a while. Hope all is good on your end.

God Bless.
