About me I'm seventeen, attending a stifling high school in a small South Dakota town. I have ridiculously obsessive organizational tendencies, listen to more indie rock than is possibly healthy, and spend far too much time on the Internet. I love Macs (although I'm still stuck with a Gateway desktop from 2002), Moleskines, Stabilo pens, calendars, organizers, polka-dotted skirts, vinyl records, mixtapes, dictionaries, open-source software, and cardigans.

About my library Despite the aforementioned organization, I have too many books to fit on my small shelves, so books are stacked haphazardly about the floor and on top of said shelves. (As J.D. Salinger described it, "...the room, at a quick glance, looked as if it had once been tenanted by two struggling twelve-year-old lawyers or researchists.")

About half of my collection lies in the fantasy and sci-fi series I devoured in junior high - as a result, my kids/ya tag gets larger and larger. I'm not planning to enter my almost-complete Baby-Sitters' Club set anytime soon, though! I do most of my reading from the library, but I buy books whenever possible; I've been keeping a reading list for roughly two years now. I keep a photo of Camus in my locker.

In answer to your question: My 6th grade teacher had us write down the title and author of every book we read that year, plus we had to note what genre. I read 110 books or so that year, my best ever, before or since. I got into the habit and kept it up for a few years on notepaper until I got a blank book as a gift. Then I rewrote all the years into the blank book and kept going. I still do just title, author, and genre.
