About me I am a retired Episcopal priest. My husband I have recently moved into a continuing care retirement community in Oregon.

About my library I have just completed a painful cull of my library, which is indicated by the tag noting the date of the donation. I have just unpacked my remaining library and will be adding them to my site as I am able.

Thanks, glad the WATER Library is of use. Mary E. Hunt
hi Ann,
Obviously I haven't looked at my Library Thing site for a while...it's great to hear from you. What's you new address? You can email me on rjwhiteley@rjwhiteley.net. I'm now rector of St James in St James on Long Island, teaching some at the Mercer School of Theology, and about to head back to Australia for 3 weeks to see family an for Barbara Darlings consecration.

I appreciate your writing. I think I put your library on my list as an interesting library some time ago. I've enjoyed doing this site. But I have too many books, and they're still not all cataloged. I am Episcopalian, and wondered some time ago whether I had a calling to the priesthood, but decided that my calling in life is to do bus scheduling. My wife, Valerie, and I live on Long Island, but usually go to church in Manhattan (Holy Apostles). We have lived in Detroit, Michigan and Indianapolis. I helped edit the book "Through the Years" which is a parish history of the Diocese of Michigan. We moved about 2 1/2 years ago and gave away at least 800 books, although these never got cataloged.
Good morning!
Just want to offer a little support with respect to your experience of culling your library. You had so many good books that I hope are still "with" you, although no longer physically present on your shelves. By sharing your catalog here, you are giving a gift to the rest of us.

You mention James Alison as a favorite author, and I have to admit to not knowing his books at all. Is there anything you can tell me about his work?

Peace,
Kathi Phillips
