I agree with you 100%. I also held back on what I could have said as this was my first official review and only finished it out of a sense of duty. I think the two battles of annihilation Sparks were in should have been highly detailed and note worthy based on their uniqueness in American Military History. It should have been focus of the entire book to be honest. Another tragedy of the book was that Sparks was in command of a unit that committed atrocities at Dachau which he felt was a place filled with atrocities. The Germans have long held that the Americans committed war crimes and were never held accountable while they are still being held accountable for them today. Another area of review should have been a detailed report on the Dachau Massacre and its resulting cover up by American military. The book had tremendous potential and could have helped to bring some closure to the old WW2 German veterans still alive if the Americans were held accountable or at least the cover up was exposed to the world. Hope to see more of your honest reviews :)
