About meI'm an English PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on transatlantic studies. I have one to two more years left. Since leaving Edinburgh in 2006, we've lived in Los Angeles and now San Diego.

About my libraryMainly books for research, plus books on childcare, cooking and the intersection of faith and life. Here's my UK Amazon wishlist and here's my US Amazon wish list.

Saddest book news: Losing a huge box of books (mostly classics and Russian lit) when my parents' back room flooded. Hopefully we can steadily replace those books.

Welcome to San Diego Bibliophiles! I do hope you recover your Russian Lit. books in due time.

Enjoy your time in the group.
Wow, you have a lot of books that I would love to read someday! I can't imagine owning that many. My list is in progress--I have more books at home than I do at school. If you want to get rid of any before you move, let me know. :)
I've only just started putting my books in - it's damn useful for getting stuff in the right stacks/room as well as marking as read/to-read...but I have a ways to go in exploring its potential! I also need to do more poaching/stalking (Ashley!) since you've already done so much of the entering of details for me!
Hello to another English grad student! (Though you are much, much farther along than I am...) Transatlantic studies is fascinating - what's your focus? Your library is really wonderful...I guess you'll be buying scores of boxes to send them all to the US in '07?
Ashley, glad you're enjoying this :) ...and I think your library is quite impressive actually!
