GroupsGetting Boys To Read, Librarians who LibraryThing, Read YA Lit

About meProfessional Bibliophile. Bookish Bohemian who wants to change the world, one reader at a time. Resourceress. Teen Advocate. YA Librarian.

About my libraryThings I've read and listened to: titles from the library where I work, and ones from my own collection. I read a lot of YA lit, and love listening to audiobooks in the car or while cleaning the house. I favor realistic and contemporary fiction, coming of age stories, psychological thrillers, quirky characters, memoirs of addiction and mental illness, stories in verse, sarcastic humor, and magical realism.

Hello! It was stupid of James Frey to lie about that but I still love the book as a work of fiction. I think it's great fiction and I still recommend it to my friends. I read the sequel "My Friend Leonard" and it was just as good. I'll probably read them again at some point.
Interesting library! We share 19 books in common apparently... I see you have "A Million Little Pieces" but it's not rated... You should read it, I would be interested to see what you think ;)
Thanks for the add, Have a good time!
Noticed you liked The Virgin Suicides, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I'm glad we are now friends! I just had to friend you, since we have so many books in common. I saw several Robert Cormier books in your library. You should consider checking out Daring to Disturb the Universe, his biography/lit crit by Patty Campbell.
