About meIt seems as if I've been reading forever and I still own a few copies from my childhood collection. I have a BA in Communications and have worked in the areas of media, public relations and social services. I'm currently employed as a spokesperson for a large metropolitan police department (hence my collection of true crime books). My labrador Roxie reigns as the Queen of the house and my dream is to retire to a lifetime of reading books and magazines. Of course that would be somewhere on a sunny beach!

About my libraryAfrican American authors, best sellers, fiction, biography, history, novels, true crime, home improvement, interior decorating, do-it-yourself, gardening, suspense and horror are my all time faves. I'm an unabashed fan of the written word and, like many, find that I have more books than time!

Saw you liked Bastard Out of Carolina, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like it since it's also southern and a bit dark. I'd be glad to e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I love Always Running, it's a great book. And the author Luis J. Rodriguez is a great guy. -- Jeff Rivera (Author of FOREVER MY LADY) http://www.JeffRivera.com
