About meI'm the new guy on the LibraryThing.com team.

Once, I was carrying a unicycle and my bass through Harvard Square, and a drunk man gave me $10 because he thought I could ride the unicycle and play the guitar at the same time. I tried to explain that I was just holding the unicycle for a friend and I couldn't, in fact, ride it -- never mind ride and play simultaneously -- but he forced me to keep the money regardless.

Things like this happen to me with alarming frequency.

I may be writing to the wrong place... but I will give it a shot. I uploaded a new picture for my profile, and the link to the larger version of the image seems to be broken. The smaller version of the image shows up in the profile, it is the large version that is not available. Here is the link: Big Image. Thanks much.
Hi, I'm a new member and am learning how to navigate. Is the category "Tag" the only area in which I can categorize my books for my own purposes? Then when I download to excel, all my comments go into one cell. I would like to categorize my books in several ways. For example: I'd like to have a category for the cost of the book, how I got it, if it's history, then a sub-category. In this way I could sort by different categories in excel and have a value on my collection. Thanks for your answers. Sincerely, David D. Boggs
