Hi!
You asked if I'm UU - I grew up in the Universalist Church before the merger of the two denominations, and trained as UU minister, but chose not to fellowship with the UUA. So a number of books in my library reflect this history. I see you're a member of the UU Readers group. Do you attend a UU congregation?
Katharine
Following up on what you said about the Emilie Richards U-U mystery series: "I was unclear about whether or not the Consolidated Community Church was a UU congregation. It stated that this was the religion of choice of the minister and his wife but it never said it was actually a UU congregation. Sometimes, other liberal non-denominational churches can call a UU trained minister just as a UU Congregation can call a minister of another liberal denomination."
I'm reading the third book now, and Richards makes it clear that it is a non-denominational (Protestant) church that happened to select a Unitarian minister.
Man I have missed you too!!! :(
