About meMy friend Jamie introduced me to LT and now I'm hooked! I need to update and add a lot of information, but for the time being...
I'm a 5th grade teacher in the greater Sacramento area (California). My husband and I have been married since July 2006, and we are thankful for one another every day. I have two cats that have me wrapped around their little claws, I named them Desi and Lucy. I truly believe that the world revolves around them. We also have two lovable dogs, a 130 lb. German Shepherd named Drake and the sweetest pit-bull mix ever named Pudge. All of our animals are rescue animals. Someday we hope to have children, but I'm waiting for tenure (been 5 years already, it has to happen soon!).
About my libraryRight now I am maybe halfway through entering in my books. I'm trying to keep somewhat on top of things by always adding in new books as I get them, though sometimes I forget.
Goals for 2009- complete the two challenges I joined! Fingers crossed...
999 Challenge: [http://www.librarything.com/topic/53315] Yay! Did it! With a few days to spare.
Paranormal 999 Challenge: [http://www.librarything.com/topic/53246] Yay! I completed this ahead of schedule and everything!

in the world as in a great, beautiful, noble, and valued whole, when harmonious
ease affords him a pure and free delight, then the universe, if it could experience
itself, would exult, as having attained its goal, and admire the climax of its
own becoming and essence.

I have read the first one...oops! I JUST read it though, and obvisouly do not have the 2nd and 3rd ones (maybe the second book can be optional. hehe). I would love to read it again - it went by really quickly and I forget all the little fine details.
I need to buy the lifetime membership.... my poor books are being neglected!
I can't wait to have a library in my house....like all the walls dedicated to books :D

I started the Women' of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong (omg, she has a ton of material online...i'm gonna have a ton of fun!). It's actually pretty good, too...! I'm still on the first book. If there is anything you want to do for book club, let me know an di"ll hold off on reading it until then :D OR feel free to do anything I've already read - i don't mind doing a quick re-read. I tried to save the mediator series for my book club, but I already read the whole series by the time it was my turn to select a book. Oops!
I want to read Rachel Caine's ghost series but they didn't have it at Border's. I hear it's really good, too. Wait - is it's Caine's series or Harris'?
Did you try Keri Arthur's books - the Riley Jensen series?

You had previously indicated you might be interested in a group read of Danteâs Inferno.I am planning to start my read on Feb 25th. While Iâm not planning to do a college level course in this, I do want to spend a little more serious reading time with this one than I have on some of the others. Please see http://www.librarything.com/topic/56314 to sign up and join the party. Hope you can join us.

Anyway, the gist of it was, I haven't read The Mercy Seller because I've been sucked into the Lady Ashton series we were talking about (Decieve, Poisoned Season, etc.). Book three comes today or tomorrow in the mail!!!
I also read The Templar Legacy. When I am done with A Fatal Waltz, I will probably read Mercy Seller because THREE of my regular series(es?) have new books coming out in a month or so - Monk, Gardella, and Lady Jane Grey (my birthday book from Flo).
Also, the Gardella Vampire chronicles would be good for your paranormal thingy. There are 5 books total, and the 5th is coming out end of Feb. What is your 999 thing anyway???

Also, for your paranormal books, the Gardella Vampire Chronicles by Colleen Gleason might be good (there are 5 books and the 5th is one of the ones coming out in a month or so). How many paranormals are you reading again? What's this 999 thingy?
