I love youth fantasy as well, Harry Potter, Bartimaeus, Eragon and the like. Jacques Berndorf and his 'Eifel Krimi' are classics, as well as nearly all Terry Pratchett.

And a lot of stuff to think or work, from 'spidering hacks' to 'portal infrastructure', from Think (Blackhurst), to 'the rest is noise' or 'Sophie' (Gaardner).
