About me Hopeless quintessential romantic idealist. Seasonal writer. Eternal hobbyist. Geekified obsessed Web developer, accidental creative Web designer, and newbie systems analyst. Devourer of cheese pizzas, carbonara, white chocolates, Coke floats, and books. Frustrated singer, wannabe photographer. Elitist snarky sporker of grammatically-challenged airheads and self-righteous prigs. Irresponsibly scatter-brained. Moody drama queen. Effervescent, flighty, unabashed daydreamer. Bubbly, babbling flibbertigibbet. Weak-ankled stairs klutz.

Hello again Angela,

Are you published yet? It's just a matter of time and persistence. In the meantime, yes, both the book and the movie of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" are quite good, although I prefer the book, as I usually do.

And finally, white chocolate is lovely, but in dark chocolate is the salvation of the world.

Stumbled across your library while hopping around, and was impressed enough by your "about me" profile to check out your homepage. You are indeed a writer, and I hope you'll make an effort to get published some day. The talent is there. And if I can suggest some reading I think you'd like: Wally Lamb's "She's Come Undone" would make a nice companion book to his "I Know This Much Is True". And I think you would love "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", about friendship and solidarity between four lifelong friends through times of pain and joy.

We only have one book in common; about the only other commonality is that my wife Nancy is from the Philippines, and also worked in Singapore for a time. I wish you luck and success with your writing.

Mike
Me too! They're so "light" and they even seem quite farfetched reading them now, but it's still a nice trip back down memory lane. :) I'm trying to collect everything. :D
Nancy Drew mysteries make me nostalgic.
